Rostam is revisiting his Vampire Weekend chapter with the release of the original version of “Campus,” a fan-favorite B-side off VW’s acclaimed 2008 self-titled debut.

Rostam first recorded “Campus” in 2005 at Columbia University, a few months before the band’s founding.

“Ezra wrote pretty much all of the lyrics on our debut album, but this song was an exception,” Rostam said in a statement.

A mythical set of live John Coltrane recordings, the Tiberi Tapes, will finally be released this year.

Recorded at jazz clubs in New York and Philadelphia between 1961 and 1965 by saxophonist Frank Tiberi, the Tiberi Tapes have long been relegated to a private collection.

But as part of a year-long celebration of Coltrane’s 100th birthday in September, the set will land on Impulse!

as a Record Store Day exclusive on April 18, ahead of a wider release this September.

The Vinyl Factory and HYMN have teamed up to release Hello I Love You by Anal House Meltdown (AHMD) on vinyl.

Founded in 2011 by Eddie Peake, George Henry Longly, and Prem Sahib, AHMD began as a queer club night blending performance, music, and visual art.

Two music videos will premiere in the coming weeks to accompany the release – both shot at London’s Venue MOT.

Pressed on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl, Hello I Love You is limited to 300 copies and features hand-stamped, numbered, and signed sleeves and labels.

While Korg gets all the press for their Phase8 acoustic synthesizer, here is one has actually been available for a while: the String Armonica MK2. It looks like a an ancient Psalter, but is rather modern inside. Like its its name sake, Benjamin Franklin's glass armonica, it has an overtone rich sound, allowing for control of four octaves. This is my favorite sampling setup so far. What I love about this setup is I can sample anything on my iPad! Like YouTube, Spotify, or sample VSTs which can also be sequenced and controlled from Digitakt II. Having the Octatrack in the mix allows me to sample and chop samples from the iPad through the Digitakt II or resample the Digitakt back and forth between the two boxes. Raised in the Hindu tradition of the harikatha — where she would sing poems called abhangs ("songs without endings") along a pilgrimage route — Ganavya has spent a life in contemplation. Грустные новости. Умер Дмитрий Петрович Ухов, классик отечественной музыкальной журналистики, один из тех людей, без которого непредставима история советского и российского джаза. Невероятный эрудит, стилист, умевший тончайшим образом слышать музыку и влюблять в неё посредством слова. Аннотации авторства Ухова на мелодиевских пластинках я читал ещё маленьким, во взрослом возрасте (к сожалению, очень кратко) с Дмитрием Петровичем работал. Последние годы были для него тяжелыми.
