Block9 has revealed its plans for Glastonbury 2025.

New for this year is a Daytime Block Party across Genosys (pictured) and The NYC Downlow, with Derrick Carter, Jayda G, Fatboy Slim, Hot Chip and Melle Brown among those providing the soundtrack.

Block9 are also partnering with Led By Donkeys on a new collaboration that will unite protest, party and counterculture politics.

Queer venue The NYC Downlow and sister room The Meat Rack will again welcome an array of house, disco and drag performers.

The Meat Rack, which doubled in size last year, welcomes some major names for 2025, including Seth Troxler, NIKS, Shanti Celeste, Nabihah Iqbal and Shay Malt.

Field Day has issued a statement following a recently published open letter asking the festival to distance itself from the investments of KKR, and a subsequent artist boycott which has seen more than 15 artists pull from this year’s line-up.

Earlier this week, femme collective Sisu Crew announced that they would be pulling from Field Day’s 2025 bill in boycott of its ties to KKR, the parent company of its owner, Superstruct.

“We know there will be many of you out there who are hurt and angry about this situation.

We hope that this helps you to understand the position of the festival team,” it adds.

Prague-based nightclub Ankali has urged for support to secure its future after revealing that the venue is “on the edge of closing down”.

Last month, Ankali shared a statement on Instagram explaining that it was “at risk of closure”, citing a declining turnout to events combined with “ever-rising costs”.

Ankali called for help from supporters by asking for donations, and launched an “emergency store” selling merchandise, including T-shirts, prints, scarves, hats, hoodies, socks, and more.

The pop-up store opened on April 30, and will close on Wednesday, May 21.

Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester earlier this morning (May 15) over an alleged 2023 nightclub incident, The Mirror reports.

Just hours after touching down in the UK, the 36-year-old singer was reportedly arrested at The Lowry, a five-star hotel in Manchester, shortly after 2:AM on Thursday morning.

AVA Festival has announced the launch of its new Emerging Producer Workshops programme, calling on aspiring producers to apply.

Eight selected applicants will be given “full access” to both days of AVA Festival 2025, which takes place from May 30 - 31 this year, and will be enrolled into a production mentorship programme in June.

A series of workshops will then take place in Belfast next month between June 9 - 16, and are set to be led by “a Belfast-based creative professional working in music”.

Sheffield’s longest-running music venue The Leadmill has been served a final eviction notice after its last appeal was denied, they’ve confirmed in a new statement.

Louie Vega is set to auction off a collection of personal items later this month via music platform Wax Poetics, including test pressings, music gear, and more.

Laufey has announced a new album, A Matter of Time.

The Icelandic Chinese singer and composer’s follow-up to 2023’s Bewitched arrives August 22 via Vingolf/AWAL.

“Tough Luck,” which leads the album, is “a fiery song about love gone wrong,” Laufey says in press materials.

“I wanted to reveal an angrier side of myself—a side that this unfortunate relationship brought out in me.” Listen to that below.

Members of the Austin, Texas, rock band Lord Buffalo have said that they are canceling a tour of Europe because their drummer, Yamal Said, was detained by agents from United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The alleged incident took place on Monday, May 12, when Said “was forcibly removed from [the band’s] flight to Europe” at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Founded in 2011 by Eddie Peake, George Henry Longly, and Prem Sahib, AHMD began as a queer club night blending performance, music, and visual art.

Two music videos will premiere in the coming weeks to accompany the release – both shot at London’s Venue MOT.

I try to recreate the drums of Pacific Coliseum - Ocean City. I do this on the Digitakt II but these tips can be applied to any drum machine like Ableton Move or Push 3, or even MPCs! I attempt to speed run a house track using a real Roland TR-909 and my Octatrack! It came out way better than expected! I also set up ascent and return for the Echolocator by Erica Synths! The 909 nowadays is way too expensive and I would never consider buying one, but they do sound great and I think what really is special about it is that it makes you into a workflow that is fast with enough parameters to keep it interesting... barely... The Erica Synths Echolocator is here and it's Awesome. Quickly becoming one of the best delay pedals I've tried. But it's not a pedal haha! It's similar to the Zen Delay but don't get it twisted, they're not the same! My journey has now led me to owning an HPD-20 haha. What's hilarious is I've wanted to own one of these for soooo long but their price has kept me away.
