Chance the Rapper has announced a late-summer/early fall tour to celebrate his 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book.

The Coloring Book 10 trek launches in Cleveland on August 11 and will include more than three dozen dates across North America.

Multi-channel audio can be sent from Move and Note to Live or Push Standalone – and in Live and on Push, audio from other players appears directly as an input.

Live 12.4 brings updates to three devices:Erosion now includes real-time spectrum visualization and the option to blend continuously between both sine and noise modulation and mono and stereo noise.

Stem Separation, available in Live 12 Suite, is more flexible and intuitive in 12.4.

Note: Link Audio, currently in public beta, enables real-time audio streaming between compatible devices on a local network.

Portioli’s inquiry finds new form in her latest installation, Symphony for Endangered Birds, first staged at Museum Folkwang in Essen.

We recently spoke with Portioli about the conceptual foundations and technical processes that shaped Symphony for Endangered Birds.

If you go back to the first version of Strokes in Max for Live, there’s a workflow in mind.

One of the concrete things that I did with the Strokes plug-in is there’s a custom Max for Live device that comes with it.

It’s another Max for Live device.

There’s different pages, so you might be on the sequencer page and you flip to another page.

It looks like a native Live thing, but it’s not actually using Ableton at all.

*Requires Live 12 SuiteNotes on the making of “They Came From My Head”:This track uses largely stock Ableton Live and Max for Live devices.

The initial demo was jammed live, with additional automation added later when it was mixed down for the album.

The percussion parts were originally sequenced and then bounced from the Fors Dyad Max for Live device.

5 has spot effects in a Drum Rack and each sample has some Max for Live effects embedded alongside it.

Track 9 is a very simple key line with another Valhalla Delay, again swapped out for the stock Echo effect.

Since music was recorded and far before then, parenthood has been a perennial source of inspiration for artists.

But the specific idea of matrescence – the transformative process of becoming a mother – is what eliseRS chose as the subject of her album Life We’ve Known, made in the wake of her daughter’s birth.

Every aspect of motherhood, from the divine to the difficult, and so much in between, inspired Elise Reitze-Swensen to create this bright, effervescent 20-track record.

Along the way she found many surprising links between her artistic process and her experience parenting, learning to find comfort in the chaos, confidence in tiny work windows, and an appreciation for happy accidents.

[Making Ash] was like being in this hyperbolic time chamber, having to make a whole soundtrack alone.

I felt like right after that I wanted to do anything but what I was just doing.

So I started this project, and it felt like such a release to be able to have this place where I could just vent out some of my inner chaos.

Грустные новости. Умер Дмитрий Петрович Ухов, классик отечественной музыкальной журналистики, один из тех людей, без которого непредставима история советского и российского джаза. Невероятный эрудит, стилист, умевший тончайшим образом слышать музыку и влюблять в неё посредством слова. Аннотации авторства Ухова на мелодиевских пластинках я читал ещё маленьким, во взрослом возрасте (к сожалению, очень кратко) с Дмитрием Петровичем работал. Последние годы были для него тяжелыми.
