Gotti died on Wednesday, February 5, at home in New York City.

Chilean DJ, label head, and promoter Joye Mitarakis has passed away, Berlin’s Club Der Visionaere has confirmed.

The Berlin club confirmed the news on Instagram over the weekend, writing: “Today the Club Der Visionaere community is mourning the passing of our friend Joye Mitarakis."

On August 24, the LGBTQIA+ festival lands back in Southwark Park for its fifth edition, celebrating “queer and trans bodies in club culture”.

Legendary nightclub Waterfront made its return to Hull this weekend (February 1).

Having traded under the name Atik Hull since it was acquired by Rekom UK in 2017, the multi-storey venue has been rebranded to harken back to the venue's "glory days" in the '80s and '90s.

Set across five floors, Waterfront has been refurbished with new lighting, soundsystem, LCD screens, CO2 jets and confetti cannons.

It features a main clubbing space, a "Retro Room" complete with arcade machines and a lit-up dancefloor, a basement set to play disco, house and techno and The Loft - a separate event space.

Susan Alcorn was 71 years old.

After coming to the pedal steel guitar through country bands, Alcorn pursued a solo career in which she refined her approach to the instrument on a virtuosic level.

It wasn’t until years later, while living in Chicago, that she first considered picking up a pedal steel guitar herself.

Working on my performance with @ensemble_modern at Frankfurt Alte Oper 9th of March 25. This is my setup - Hohner Electronium Pi, Joranalogue Collide 4 based modular, iPad with Bram Bos Fluss and two Nagra IS for looping.

I did a session with Robert Henke (aka Monolake) at Akademie der Künste. We had decided on that last year, when I invited him to show me the Publison DHM 89 D2 and we jammed with that combination. This time, I wanted to explore prepared piano, something I have been wanting to do myself for decades. The CRB Computerband 2000 is to me the most interesting of all the auto-accompany boxes coming from Italy in the 1970s. It sounds gloriously retro, yet has a nice thump and beautiful arps. Since you can switch of all parts individually. you can make it sound like minimal disco. Explored at Museo del synth Marchigiano

@ahkosmos exploring the latest addition to the tape and test equipment studio. She is filtering a tape loop with a Brüel & Kjaer Spectrum Shaper, with the result running into the @eowave_modular Metallik Resonater in the back. Originally created for measurement purposes, the filterbank found its way into many experimental electronic music studios, from Warsaw to Paris. In later versions, Bruel & Kjaer even acknowledge the possible application for musical special effects in their catalogues. AFAIK it is the only of their instruments to get that particular honor. Музыкальная редакция будет отбирать самые интересные треки и добавлять их в линейку плейлистов. Флагманский плейлист объединит всех, а дополнительные — разделят музыку по жанрам: поп, инди, рэп и электроника. В каждый плейлист планируется добавлять 30–50 новых треков ежемесячно. Дополнительно МТС Музыка поддержит начинающих артистов в социальных сетях. Чтобы попасть в «НЭЙМ», нужно заполнить заявку через питч-форму.P.S. Если коротко, мне кажется, объять музыкальный ландшафт невозможно: он стремительно превращается в бесконечность даже применительно к локальным сценам. Порог входа в музыку падает, а сама она обесценивается. Поэтому проблемы количества в музыке, мне кажется, вообще нет: оно продолжает расти в геометрической прогрессии, правда, во все более бюджетных вариантах.
